Our greyhound Scamp (Navigator) raced many times at his local track in the 70s. Raced here and Chesterton, St Helens and Chester. Halcyon days.
My late Grandad (John) was the owner of Tearaway. The gentleman leading him to the traps was a close friend (Jim). Tearaway (Harry to us) stayed with my grandad for the rest of his life after retiring from the track. The video clip has brought back a lot of great memories 😊

Would love to go back in time to walk these streets. I suppose them shops in the clip is now the Chinese or would that been on the slope where the trucks pull. But if I'm wright wasnt the old swimming pool once there obviously now gone.
